History: The University Counseling Center was created in the 1960s under the direction of Paul Hoffman. In 1971, David McNaughton assumed the duties of the Director. The Center provided services in guidance, counseling, and testing. Its purpose is "one facit of the overall student personnel program to help each student derive the maximum benefit from his or her career." Trained professional counselors are available to discuss any matter which is of concern to a student and will assist the student in developing to the full limit of his or her potential. Description: Includes correspondence, minutes of meetings, and miscellaneous materials relating to the Counseling Center.
